Run for L’Arche

Run for L’Arche is more than just a race, it’s a celebration of inclusion, community, and friendship in support of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Now in its 16th year, this annual event remains L’Arche Calgary’s largest fundraiser, bringing people of all ages and abilities together to walk, jog, or run in support of a shared mission.

The 2026 Run for L’Arche, held on April 11 at Confluence Plaza, was a tremendous success. This year marked a record-breaking milestone, with approximately 470 runners registered, the highest participation in the event’s history. Together, participants, donors, and supporters helped raise more than $60,000 in support of L’Arche Calgary’s programs, including residential homes, day programs, and community initiatives.

This incredible achievement would not have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors. 2026 Race Starter

We were excited to have Martin Parnell as our 2026 Race Starter! Martin truly embodies inclusion and belonging, and both energized and inspired every runner.

Martin is an international speaker, author, and multi Guinness World Record holder who truly embodies what it means to run with purpose. From completing an astonishing 250 marathons in one year to raising over $1.3 million through his Quests for Kids initiative, Martin has spent decades using sport as a force for hope, resilience, and change.

We are honoured that Martin kicked off the 2026 Run for L’Arche. He filled the day with inclusion, determination, and heart.
