Run for L’Arche 2026 Saturday, April 11

Run for L’Arche is more than just a race, it’s a celebration of inclusion, community, and friendship for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Now in its 16th year, this annual event is L’Arche Calgary’s largest fundraising initiative, inviting the entire community to come together in support of our mission to create a world where everyone belongs.

Participants of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to walk, jog, or run in this day of fun, camaraderie, and purpose. Every step you take helps raise vital funds that directly support adults with intellectual disabilities through our programs and services.

Since 2011, the Run for L’Arche has raised more than $795,000, thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our community.

This year, we’re proud to announce that the 2026 Run for L’Arche is powered by Hudson Advisory Group — ScotiaMcLeod, a division of Scotia Capital Inc., Scotia Wealth Management. Together, we’re continuing to build a more inclusive and connected community, one stride at a time.

2026 Race Starter

We’re excited to introduce our 2026 Run for L’Arche Race Starter, Martin Parnell!

Martin is an international speaker, author, and multi Guinness World Record holder who truly embodies what it means to run with purpose. From completing an astonishing 250 marathons in one year to raising over $1.3 million through his Quests for Kids initiative, Martin has spent decades using sport as a force for hope, resilience, and change.

We are honoured to have Martin kick off the 2026 Run for L’Arche on April 11, 2026 and help set the tone for a day filled with inclusion, determination, and heart.

L’Arche Calgary is a non-profit organization that supports people with developmental disabilities, providing them with a community of belonging! L’Arche Calgary has five homes and two programs where people with and without disabilities live and experience life alongside each other in a spirit of togetherness and mutuality. The Run for L’Arche is an annual run that helps further their work in their community and larger society! We want our neighbors and friends with developmental disabilities to know they are loved and valuable to our city!
