Our homes are founded on the concept of a family household, where Core Members and Assistants share daily life together, following the natural rhythm of family living. Our homes follow a one-to-one ratio, housing 20 Core Members and 20 Live-in Assistants.

Marymount House
Marymount means Mountain of Mary. It is a converted duplex which four Core Members call home. The kitchen and dinning room are the heart of this house, where friends and family are often invited to share meals and celebrate.

Haeremai House
Haeremai means Welcome in the Maori language. Originally a duplex, it has been renovated into a single-family house that four Core Members call home. At Haeremai, you can enjoy greenery in the sunroom and relax in the backyard gazebo.

Kichiyak House
Kichiyak means Revered one in Cree, and is also the word used to refer to people with intellectual disabilities. Kichiyak is home to three Core Members and offers a warm, cozy atmosphere just a short walk from Chinook Centre.

Annapurna House
Annapurna is a Sanskrit word meaning Giver of Food and Nourishment. Annapurna was built by L’Arche Calgary in 1992 and is the largest house in the community, housing five Core Members.

Villa Maria House
Villa Maria means House of Mary and is another converted duplex. It has a beautiful, spacious backyard that is often used for outdoor gatherings by its four Core Members!
