SILP
L'Arche Calgary's Supported Independent Living Program (SILP) allows Core Members to live in an apartment or other housing arrangement outside of our 5 homes. Core Members in SILP require varying levels of support, which is provided by a team of SILP Assistants. Some people require only an occasional visit, while others need regular support with meal preparation, transportation, and other household tasks.
Whatever the individual's needs are, the objective of the SILP is to support each Core Member in their own personal, social, and spiritual development to enhance well-being and quality of life. L'Arche Calgary is proud of our Supported Independent Living Program, and although SILP Core Members live independently, they remain valued members of our community who participate in gatherings and events.
